摘要
讨论小波包的基本原理,并把其运用于图像压缩、提出一种新的编码和量化的方法:在最低频部分采用DPCM编码,在高频部分,根据能量分布的不同,采用不同的量化编码方法.实验结果标明该方法精细度高,具有很强的局部分析能力和自适应性强的特点.
In this paper ,we introduced the basic theory of wavelet packet. Based on this model, we applied it to image compressing, and provided a new method of quantization and coding:The lowest frequency section is encoded by DPCM and high frequency is quantized and encoded by different methods of quantization and coding according to energy distribution. The experimental result indicated that this method had high precision, strong analytical capacity and good self adaptability.
