A Modified Method of the Synthesis of 1, 4-Dihydroxy-2-Naphthoic Acid

１，４－二羟基－２－萘甲酸以改进的Ｈｏｍｅｇｅｒ法进行制备，具有操作方便，溶剂耗费少，不使用苯及乙醇的萃取步骤，总反应时间也缩短到原来的１／４，而且产品纯度和产率都有提高。改进后的方法用于大规模工业生产将产生较好的经济效益。

Dihydroxy-2-naphthoic acid was prepared in a good yield and high purity by the method of a modified procedure of Homeyer and Wallingford. The new procedure is very easy to handle and does not use benzene and other solvents to extract the product at the time of aftertreatment. As the extraction processes were abolished and the hydrolysis of diethyl 1, 4-dihydroxy-2, 3-naphthalate were carried out at high temperature, the new procedure needed less total reaction time and consumed less solvents.
