以邓小平为核心的党的第二代领导集体,为我国社会主义政治文明建设做出了重大贡献:在社会主义政治史上,第一次明确指出了必须坚持从我国国情出发,建设中国特色社会主义民主政治;把发展民主确立为社会主义的一项根本任务和目标;强调指出民主制度化和法制化是我国社会主义民主政治建设的根本途径;把推进政治体制改革作为民主政治建设的突破口,提出了政治体制改革的重大任务;推进、形成和发展了我国的基层民主制度等。这对推进我国现阶段社会主义政治文明建设具有重大的现实指导意义。

The second generation leading group of the Communist Party of China, centered around Dong Xiaoping, contributed a lot to socialist political civilization of China. They first pointed out definitely that we must base Chinese socialist democratic politics on our national conditions and build democratic politics with Chinese characteristics in socialist political history. They took developing democracy as a fundamental mission and target of socialism, emphasizing that democracy systematization and legal institutionalization are the most effective way to build socialism politics. They regarded advancing political system reform as the breach of building democratic politics and raised the great mission of political system reform. They reformed and developed democracy system for the grass roots of our country, which has great practical signification in promoting our country＇s socialist political civilization.
