The Internet and the Development of Guangxi Urban Youth:A Survey

广西城镇青年近半数每天上网时间在一个小时以下,网吧是其首选上网地点,上网依赖度不高;上网以信息查询为主,最希望网络提供网上学习;大多数没有与网友见面的经历,对网恋持慎重态度;多数人认为网络会对中国的政治民主化、法治进程、人们的工作、生活方式及观念产生一定的影响;过半数的城镇青年认为目前广西互联网发展状况一般。

Currently, the Internet is exercising ever deeper influence on the life, work and study of people, particularly of youth. Therefore, carrying out a research into the relations between the Internet and youth is of profound significance in understanding youth＇s ideology and conduct and guiding their work. This investigation report on a special topic deals with the following aspects： （1）the basic conditions of Guangxi urban youth＇s access to the Internet; （2） the situation of their use of the Internet; （3） their basic attitude towards the Internet; （4）their views about the influence of the Internet; （5）their opinions of the Internet development in Guangxi.
