A Harmonious Society Requires Common Prosperity under the Socialist Market Economy

建设共同富裕的和谐社会,是发展社会主义市场经济的根本目的,也是区别于资本主义市场经济的重要标志;共同富裕不是平均主义,也不是同步富裕;社会主义市场经济能够激励一部分地区、一部分人先富起来,建立起增进社会财富,逐步实现共同富裕的有效机制。

Building a harmonious society of common prosperity is the basic objective of developing socialist market economy and an important symbol of difference with that of capitalism. Common prosperity is not sharing or in-phrase prosperity. The socialist market economy can prompt some areas and some people rich first and meanwhile, establish an effective system of increasing the social wealth and fulfilling common prosperity gradually.
