Some Points on Culture and Translation from a Development Perspective——Domestication and Foreignization in Translation of Culture

本文主要从语言、文化与翻译的关系着眼,对在翻译过程中如何更准确合理的进行文化传达做出探讨,提出不应一味简单的对译文中的文化因素加以归化或异化,而应以历史的发展的眼光来看待问题,全盘考虑各方面因素。

This paper first analyzes the relations between culture, language and translation, then discusses how to convey culture elements more accurately and properly when we do translation, and puts forward that we should not simply domesticize or foreignize the culture elements but deal with them from a historical and developmental perspective and put all the factors into consideration.
