湖北省于2003年正式启动新型农村合作医疗的试点,试点工作所取得的成效充分体现了其在构建社会主义和谐社会中的重要地位和作用。试点工作明确了政府的责任,树立了政府的良好形象;卫生服务公平性得到改善;卫生服务利用率出现较大幅度的上升;农民因病致贫、返贫现象得到缓解。

The pilot project of the new rural cooperative medical insurance system is started formally in 2003 in Hubei Province.The achievement of the project have fully reflected it＇s important status and role in establishing social democracy harmonious society.The pilot work has made the government＇s responsihility clear and established government＇s good image; The hygiene service fairness has been improved;The utilization ratio of the hygiene serves rose by a large margin;The phenomenon of peasant＇s causing poverty and returning to the poor due to illness is alleviated.
