The lithosphere-scale differences oi tectonic-thermoregime in different basins were discussed based on 6 interpreted profiles from regional geology and geophysical data across China's Mainland, with combination of petrological achievements and the study of lithos-pherical crust-mantle component and geotectonics. It is concluded that the Tarim, Junggar, and Sichuan basins are formed from continental subduction. Caidam and Jiuqan basins are resulted from shove and pull-apart in the early stage due to the thinning of litho-sphere as well as tectonic squeezing and reversal at late stage. The Cenozoic basins of Linfen and Yinchuan correspond to thermal expansion and extension of lithosphere. Songliao basin is characterized by compresso-shear thermal expansion of lithosphere and thermal contraction of the mantle. Bohaiwan basin features the alternations of thinning and thickening of lithospherical mantle. The lithosphere-scale regional extension and compression or compression plus shearing is related to the movement of materials deep in the lithosphere since the Mesozoic era which provides evidences for the study of differences in tectonic-thermoregime for shallow basins in China's Mainland.
