This paper examines the extent of spatial price integration in cattle and sheep marketing in Nigeria. It attempts to verify the noncompetitive pricing behaviour in the oligopolistic cattle and sheep commodity markets using the bivariate autoregressive time-series model. Collusive, discriminatory, price leadership, competitive pricing conduct was tested empirically for both cattle and sheep. Findings show a limited, organized pricing scheme where Borno and Sokoto markets lead the other regional markets of Cross Rivers, Imo, Kano, Lagos, Niger, and Oyo in discovering cattle and sheep prices. Evidence was available to support assertions of collusive pricing commonly associated with concentrated markets.
