The Achievement of the Press Baron---Liang Fa and its Implication to Expertized Editors

梁发是从一位平凡的雕版印刷工人,成长为最早引进和传播基督教及“西学”的近代中国知识分子的,所著《劝世良言》对中国社会产生了重要的影响。梁发的成才与他参加创办近代报业并由此走上了将信仰与事业相结合、日常工作与成才相结合的经历是分不开的,对当今的学术期刊编辑学者化不无启迪。

Liang Fa, a former ordinary printer of carving, made a contemporary Chinese intellectual of himself to spread Christianity and western civilization, whose‘Advice to the Chinese World＇ produced a strong impact on the society. His achievement resulted from his involvement in press industry and his combination of belief and enterprise, daily routine and self- education. Liang Fa＇s success produces great implication to editors of academic journals, that is, with lofty ideals and firm believes, editors, in performing their daily routine, should pursue the accumulation of knowledge, further study and work hard at self - development to realize their value of life and ideals.
