Expression of VEGF and MMP-2 in gastric carcinoma and their roles in invasion and metastasis

摘要 目的探讨血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)和基质金属蛋白酶-2(MMP-2)在胃癌发展、浸润和转移中的作用。方法应用免疫组织化学法检测42例胃良性病变和52例胃癌组织中VEGF和MMP-2表达情况。结果VEGF随胃癌的发展阳性率逐渐增高(P<0.05),浸及浆膜层组VEGF阳性率显著高于未浸及浆膜层组(P<0.05);淋巴结转移组显著高于无淋巴结转移组(P<0.05);MMP-2随胃癌的发展阳性率逐渐增高(P<0.05),浸及浆膜层组MMP-2表达率高于未侵及浆膜组(P<0.05),淋巴结转移组MMP-2表达率显著高于无淋巴结转移组(P<0.05)。VEGF和MMP-2表达关系密切(P<0.05)。结论VEGF和MMP-2均参与胃癌的发展、浸润和转移,可作为了解胃癌的生物学行为和判断预后的指标。 Objective To evaluate the roles of VEGF and MMP-2 in the development, invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinomas well as there relationship. Methods SP technique was adopted to detect the expression of VEGF and MMP-2 in 42 cases of precancerous lesions and 52 cases of gastric carcinoma. Results With development of gastric carcinoma, the positive rate of VEGF was increased gradually ( P 〈 0.05 ). The positive rate of VEGF in group of seroasinfiltration was significantly higher than that in group of outseroasinfiltration ( P 〈 0.05). The positive rate of VEGF in group of lymph node metastasis was higher than that in group without lymph node metastasis ( P 〈 0.05). With the development of cancer, the positive rate of MMP - 2 was increased gradually ( P 〈 0.05). The positive rate of MMP - 2 in lymph node metastasis group was higher than that of no lymph node metastasis ones ( P 〈 0.05). There was a relationship between VEGF and MMP- 2 expression ( P 〈 0.05). Conclusion Both VEGF and MMP - 2 contribute to the development, invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma. They are indexes to evaluate the biological behavior and judge the prognosis of gastric cancer.
