Discussion on the Importance of GIS for Urban Modernization Construction

从城市地理信息系统的建设出发,详细介绍了它在城市现代化建设、管理、规划中的重要性及建设城市地理信息系统(UGIS)的可行性,并对建设中一些关键问题提出几点建议。

This paper particularly introduced the importance of building urban GIS （UGIS） to manage and plan the urban modernization construction. It also presented the feasibility of building Bengbu UGIS and put forward a few suggestions for solving the key problems during the construction.
