Plastic tracks are the most commonly used all -weather athletic tracks at the moment. They are noted for their fine elasticity, great strength, good wearability and slip resistance and bright colours, which makes them popular with the people of the sporting and educational circles. They have been developing so rapidly in recent years that people are coming to pay much attention to them. They are wondering whether the gas given out by the plastics is poisonous or not, how dangerous the toxicity may be and whether the plastic tracks should be stopped from being built. This article, viewed from the angles of Applied Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, generally analyses some quality index problems of plastic tracks and the possibility of causing polluting. Meanwhile some advice is given in this article.
