Sensor network will play an important role in the future network. Due to their constraints in computation, memory, and power resources, their susceptibility to physical capture and use of wireless communications, security is a challenge for these networks. The scale of deployment of wireless sensor network requires careful decisions and trade-offs among various security measures. These issues and mechanisms to achieve secure communication in these networks are discussed.
