On Historical Materialism's Three Dimensions of Sense of Value

通常认为,历史唯物主义的价值观体现了个人价值与社会价值的统一。这种认识是不全面的,历史唯物主义的价值观有三个层次,或者说三个境界,即个人价值、社会价值和历史价值,这三个境界相互依存、层层推进、不断升华,构成历史唯物主义价值观的有机整体。对历史唯物主义价值观的传统认识忽视了它的历史境界,即人的历史价值。

It is traditionally held that the sense of value in historical materialism represents the inter-relationship between the individual values and the social values. This kind of view has its own faults because the sense of value in historicai materialism is tri-dimensional with self-realization of individuals social and historic values. The three dimensions are inter-dependent, inter-related and profound-going.
