New Construction of English Teaching Reform and Development in Arts University

本文针对艺术院校的英语教学质量历来普遍偏低的现象及主要存在的问题,提出了艺术院校改革与发展的初步构想:制定适合艺术院校英语教学的课程标准;实行分层教学、分级管理,评价标准弹性化;优化英语课堂的教学模式;教学管理科学化等。

College English teaching plays an important role in university. The current English teaching has been of low quality for long time and is confronted with difficulties. This paper attempts to explore the key factors in combination with the detailed analysis of the status of the college English teaching in arts university. It also proposes some constructive suggestions based on some researches on college English teaching theory. It attempts to improve the English teaching quality and promote sustainable development of arts university.
