论《水浒传》的“嗜杀”与化解

On the "Bloodthirsty Act" and its Elimination in "All Men Are Brothers"

《水浒传》是一部带有粗豪、阳刚之气的男人书,又由于故事素材及题材演变的复杂,梁山人物在仗义复仇的同时,也伴随着“嗜杀”,但它并没有影响读者对水浒英雄的喜爱。这就在于作者从艺术构思、叙事技巧以及世俗认可的伦理观念等方面对“嗜杀”予以了化解。

“All Men Are Brothers” is a novel full of straight-forwardness, manliness and virility. Owing to the complexity of changes in literary raw materials and subjects, the characters in this novel uphold justice and take revenge, and at the same time they “love to kill” . Nevertheless, that does not exert any influence on readers＇ liking for the heroes. It hanges on the writer＇s elimination of “ bloodthirty act” through artistic conception and narrative skills and on moral principls and ethics permitted by social conventions.
