本文推导出在层状介质中声传播的偏移距和走时公式，利用这两个公式反演了源的位置和时间，亦可反演介质参数．所用方法都为二元线性数据拟合，几个数值例子也说明该反演方法较精确地恢复了可用于产生参考资料的那些参数．
