WANG Wei imitated the Sao style so as to satisty the demands of the times of the Prosperous Tang Dynasty. Summarizing literature of the Six Dynasties and avoiding the heated arguments of the early Tang Dynasty,WANG Wei got free in poetic creation. Greatly influenced by Chu Sao ,WANG Wei formed his unique secluded and lonely as well as lucid and elegant poetic style by combining poems with Chu Sao, combining ancient poems of the Han Dynasty and the Wei Dynasty with the new-styled poems of the Qi Dynasty and Liang Dynasty, combining the poetic style of strength in the Han Dynasty and the Wei Dynasty with the poetic style of lucidity and elegance in the Six Dynasties.
