法古与师心:金末文坛的赵、李之争

The debate between Zhao and Li in the later Jin Dynasty's literary world

针对金中后期文坛的尖新浮靡风气,赵秉文、李纯甫等起而救之,但途径不同。赵重师法古人,李重师心自用,进而引起风格之争,李纯甫推崇的奇崛险怪一路在金末得到相对凸显。彼此的论争,客观上促进了金末文学的繁荣和发展,也为元好问总结金源文学得失提供了借鉴经验。

The current tendencies in culture were that most scholars tried to please the public with claptrap and made sharp criticism of the middle and later Jin. Zhao Bin-wen and Li Chun-fu and others began to try their best to correct it. But they did it in defferent ways. Zhao Bin-wen encouraged scholars to follow examples of the ancients. While Li Chun-fu pointed out that scholars should save themselves and form their own special views. These differences touched off a debate on style. And the uncommon and ingenious opinion of Li Chun-fu is on the clear superiority place in the later Jin. These debates objectly promoted the culture＇s development in the later Jin. What＇s more, Yuan Haowen used all of these for reference to sum up the gains and loses on the culture in Jin.
