The development of society needs talents with good qualities. Colleges and universities ,as the cradle for cultivating talented person ,have the duty to cultivate the whole quality of students. This paper stresses in discussing the function of music education for improving college students＇ qualities ,and actively initiates that the colleges and universities think highly of music education,fully bring its special educational function into play,continuously develop college students＇ whole quality ,and cultivate modern talents for society.
