The current situat;on and development trends of landscape planning and design are analyzed in connection with the author＇s working pradice of many years. On the harmful tendencies of landscape planning and design in the impetuous social environment, it is proposed that the rational design concepts and the practical and realistic and timely creation ways should be maintained.
