Economic Analysis of Shortage of Farmer Laborers and Its Inspiration

我国素以劳动力资源丰富著称,但近一二年来在沿海地区却出现民工短缺的现象。从经济学的视角,分析了其产生的原因,以及对我国经济发展的影响,同时提出民工荒现象折射出的问题将对我国比较优势战略的实施、新型产业结构的构建以及社会主义和谐社会的建设等方面产生负面影响,并就此提出政策建议。

China is famous for its abundant labor resources, but in the past one or two years, there was a shortage of farmer laborers in the coastal area. What are the causes of this phenomenon？ What inspiration can we get from it and what influence will it exert upon our economic development？ From an angle of economics, the author analyses the causes of this phenomenon, indicating that the problems mirrored by the shortage of farmer laborers will have negative influence upon the implementation of our comparative superiority strategy, the construction of a new-type industrial structure and the building of a harmonious socialist society, and thus makes some suggestions.
