汉诗英译中的意象转换从根本上而言就是如何正确处理翻译中原作的形式与内容.笔者以许渊冲的诗歌翻译“三美”理论为依据,从舍形曲意,意象尽失;求形曲意,意象缺损;求形存意,意象完整等三方面分别对翁显良、许渊冲、丁衡祁等名家的汉诗英译作品加以比较,探讨汉诗英译中的意象转换问题,以求原诗与译诗从形式到内容的最大近似。

Image transition in poetry translation from Chinese into English is simply the issue of how to deal with the form and content of the source text. By comparing the translation by Weng Xianliang, Xu Yuanchong and Ding Hengqi, the author just analyses from three aspects the image characteristics on the basis of “Three Esthetics” , the thec.ry put forward by Xu Yuanchong. The purpose of this article is to probe into the closest similarity between the source text and the target text both in form and content.
