Farmer Workers Insurance: Plight & Countermeasures

农民工正日益成为中国工人阶级的主要力量,与此同时,农民工权益遭受侵害的现象也日渐突出。按照“五个统筹”的基本要求,从法律制度及政策等方面完善关于农民工的各项制度及规定,切实维护农民的根本利益,这对于转移农村剩余劳动力,扩大农村消费市场,彻底解决“三农”问题,推动宏观经济发展将产生积极的影响。

Farmer workers are becoming the main part of Chinese Worker Class, while the phenomenon of doing harms to interests of farmer workers are more and more serious. According to the basic requirements of “Five Plans”, consummating institutions and regulations about farmer workers and protecting the general interests of farmer workers will promote active effects on shifting excess agricultural labor, enlarging countryside consumers market, and finally solving “Three Agricultural Problems”. Aiming directly at the present situations and problems of farmer workers, this paper explores the institutional construction of farmer workers insurance, and puts forward concrete countermeasures accordingly.
