构建社会主义和谐社会作为一个历史性命题,为创新和发展马克思主义的理论体系提供了方向指导,改革开放的实践和理论创新成果,为构建社会主义和谐社会理论提系准备了条件,应抓住时机,在这个总纲内,全面构建更加完整的、有中国特色的马克思主义理论创新体系,并将这个理论体系写在党的旗帜上。

As a historical proposition, the construction of a socialist harmonious society has provided a guide of trend for the innovation and development of a Marxist economic system, new achievements for the theory and practice of reform and opening, and conditions for theory of building up a socialist harmonious society. Therefore, we must take the opportunity and build up a more integrated Marxist innovation system with Chinese characteristics within this general program. And we should hold high this theoretical system as a banner of the Party.
