Iteration algorithm is an approximate method in common use. It is artfully combined with Microsoft Excel for calculation of large-scale equipment sliding-hoisting. The forces exerted on mast and rigging can accurately be calculated only applying the simple calculational functions of Microsoft Excel. So it provides in-situ technicians with a fast, easy and accurate means of calculation where no computer available and enable the scheme design of sliding-hoisting to be more accurate and safe.
