On the Effect of Ways of Thinking on Traditional Chinese Translation Theory and the Innovation

从思维方式的角度对中国传统翻译理论进行分析考察。指出中国传统翻译理论同传统思维方式一样具有:整体性、经验综合性、形象直觉性、务实性和保守性等特征,并试用现代创新思维方式的系统整体性、科学性、开放性和创造性等优势,对传统译论进行推陈出新,以期为译学的建设与发展添砖加瓦。

This paper analyzes and inspects traditional Chinese translation theories from the perspective of ways of thinking, points out that traditional Chinese translation theories possess, as traditional Chinese ways of thinking do, the characteristics of integration, comprehensiveness in experience, intuition of images, practicality and conservativeness, and tries to employ the such advantages of modem innovative ways of thinking as integration of systems, scientificity, openness, and creativity to get rid of the stale to bring forth the fresh in traditional Chinese translation theories, in the hope of working together for the development and construction of translation studies.
