Coal mine methane is one important source of global methane emission. The initiation of Methane to Markets Partnership aimed at identifying and developing relevant industrial projects in order to reduce the methane emission from various sectors such as coal mines, landfills, and oil and natural gas systems. The coal mine methane project development is among the three key components of Methane to Markets Partnership, and will play a major role in the implementation of Methane to Markets Partnership.
