The appearance of celebrities was less depicted in the Book of Songs. Instead, descriptions of the people centered on details of their dress and their honor guards, which eventually became the everyday props when describing personage. It reflected that the skills of narration in practice in that period had surpassed the traditional techniques of writing. This showed a change from paying attention to the likeness in form to the likeness in spirit.
