西江与长江口发现的中华白海豚及其资源分布现状

ON THE CHINESE WHITE DOLPHIN FOUND IN THE XIJIANG RIVER AND THE MOUTH OF THE YANGTZE RIVER AND ITS STATUS OF RE5OURCEDISTRIBUTION

中华白海豚是国家一级重点保护水生野生动物，主要分布于广西、广东、香港、福建沿岸，喜栖息河口附近，有时进入江河中。１９８２年９月２日，在长江口川沙县的横沙岛附近捕获１头雄性，这是本种分布北达长江口的首次记录。１９９０年９月２８日，在距珠江口约３００余ｋｍ的西江肇庆市鼎湖区江段捕获１头雄性成体。１９９３年１月１２日，进入珠江的１头雄性个体在广州市花县炭步镇白泥河被误伤致死。长江口与西江标本外形测量见表１，头骨测量见表２。两处标本的体色，牙齿及胸骨均有差异，本种资源尚待恢复，仍须加强保护。

Chinese white dolphin(Sousa chinensis)is an aquatic wild animal under the state’s first-class protection.On September 2,1982,a male Chinese white dolphin,2.13m in length,was cap-tured near Hengsha lsland of Chuansha Country,the mouth of the Yangtze River.This record-ing,at the mouth of the Yangtze River,is the northernmost recording of movements of thisspecies. On September 25,1990,a male adult 2.54m in length,was captured in the river section ofDinghu District,Zhaoqing City of the Xijiang River,300 or more kilometres to the mouth of theZhujiang River.The data of Table 1 indice the measure of external the above two specimen andthe data of Table 2 indice the measure of skull.There indicate the differences in body color,ster-num and tooth of the two specimen.This species is mainly distributed in coastal areas of Guangxi,Guangdong,Hingkong and Fujian;sometimes it enters into the rivers,reaching as north as themouth of the Yangtze River,northern part of the East China Sea.This resource of the species isyet to recover and require intensive protection.
