Sustaineous Development of Vocational Colleges

高职高专教育领域机遇与挑战并存。高职高专院校要实现可持续发展,必须认清形势,明确学校定位;创新办学机制,改善办学条件;优化专业结构,强化质量意识;加强师资队伍建设,提高教师整体素质;以人为本,科学管理;同时,还应树立国际化观念,加快地方教育国际化进程。

Opportunities and challenges coexist in the educational field of profession-oriented colleges. In order to achieve the continuable development, profession-oriented colleges must have a clear view of the current situation and position themselves accurately. Their running system should be reformed and favorable facilities for the school management should be guaranteed. Besides, they should optimize the structure of subject designing and emphasize the awareness of quality. Reinforcing the construction of groups of teachers and raise the whole level of teachers’ all-around development should also be taken into consideration. As well as sticking to the principle of “based on people” and scientific management, the profession-oriented colleges should also develop an international concept and accelerate the internationalization process of local education.
