利用1959年以来的历史气象资料,对江西2003年特大干旱的气候特征进行了分析,结果表明:2003年7￣8月全省雨量之少位居历史第1位,9￣11月雨量之少居历史第4位,7￣12月雨量之少居历史第1位,7月￣次年2月雨量之少居历史第4位;2003年江西伏旱指数居历史第3位,伏秋旱指数居历史第5位;动态干旱指数监测结果显示,干旱指数最高值出现在2004年2月21日,与实际旱情发展较为一致。

Based on history data since 1959, the climatic characters of exceptional summer drought in Jiangxi Province in 2003 are analyzed, the result shows that in 2003 the lack of rainfall from July to August take the first position in history, the precipitation from September to October takes the fourth position in history, the precipitation from July to December takes the first position in history, the precipitation from July to February in the next year takes the fourth position in history; In 2003, the drought index takes the third position, summer and autumn drought index takes the fifth position in history.
