LSP语料库的设计标准问题——兼谈英语专业高年级专业课学期论文动态语料库设计

On the Criteria Required to Design LSP Corpora in the Context of Term Paper Writing for English Majors

LSP和LGP具有不同的目的和特征,在语料库的设计上也各自体现出不同的特点和标准.本文探讨LSP语料库的设计标准,重点讨论英语专业高年级专业课学期论文动态语料库的规模、文本摘要/文本全文、文本数量、载体、学科、文本类型、文本语言和发表日期等问题.虽然主要谈的是单语种语料库的设计,但其中涉及的一些问题同样适用于多语种语料库设计,对建设面向我国不同层次的外语学术论文写作与研究的LSP语料库将有所助益.

LSP and LGP differ in their aims and features, therefore they have different characteristics and criteria in designing corpora. In the present paper, the author considers the criteria required to design a useful special purpose corpus （ specifically the term paper dynamic corpora for the specialised courses designed for English majors）, exerting particular attention to issues such as corpus size, text extracts vs full texts, number of texts, medium, subject, text type, language and publication date. The main focus of this paper will be monolingual corpora, though many of the issues raised here are applicable to multilingual corpora as well, which will be likely to contribute to the establishment of LSP corpora as a resource for technical writing in the context of TEFL in China at different levels.
