The Application of Register Theory to the Analysis of CMC and Cyber-language

摘要 语域理论是韩礼德系统功能语言学中的重要理论之一,它具体包括语场、语旨和语式.本文试从这三方面来分析网络交际以及网络语言的特征,从中找出验证语域理论在网络交际这种全新的交际模式下的试用性和可行性. The Register theory is one of the most important parts of Halliday＇s Systemic-Functional Linguistics. This essay attempts to apply the register theory to the analysis of the features of CMC （ Computer-Mediated Communication） and cyber-language, and in doing so, the present analysis tries to test out the feasibility and applicability of the Register theory as a theoretical framework in the study of CMC.
