There exists a kind of conception that ghost is permanent because primitive people couldn't understand the phenomenon of life, agedness, illness and death in primitive society. They believed although body had died, people' s ghost would exist permanently. As a result, they dared not to overlook cadaver to throw cada ver to wild fields or simply bury cadaver. The custom of burial came out on this basis. Funerary objects is the objects that were used to sacrifice its life for cadaver, so the material foundation was graves, but grave and custom of burial originated from the conception that ghost was permanent. Therefore, in fact, the con ceptional roots of the emergence of funeraty objects were primitive people' s concept that the ghost was permanent.
