“色彩”为现代人较为熟悉的文字解释，如视觉色彩的概念；传统汉民则对色彩有不同的解读，称之为“颜色”，前者以西方人较为常用的Color，其着重于视觉心、理光学和物理结合视觉认知；后者则以观象，在汉医学中的“望色”观象者较重于宗教、政治、环境（五行、方位），与天地节季变化有关。尤其在政治上亦代表阶级权力，在医学上则与“气色”有关在文化深沉的部分有如文字的表达与诗词、诗歌。在论语、孟子二著作中亦常具有道德、伦理的解释比喻，不外“情与色”、“颜与色”、“气与色”的关连，除感官由内而外，亦表礼仪，行为举止，如孟子：“仁义礼智根于心，其生色也．然见于面”，似乎“色”透露甚多的讯息，在文人雅士亦有以诗词，绘画、音乐来创造情境抒发情感，故是涵盖表达的内容非常丰富，有心理的心觉，有感觉的感知以及文化的深沉内涵。

The more familiar interpretation of ＂Color＂ for the people of nowadays is such as the concept of visual color. But for the traditional folks of Han Dynasty had different interpretation of color and they called it as ＂color of look＂. For the former, color, is more commonly usea by the Westerners. It emphasizes on the cognition of the united visual psychology, optics and physics. And for the latter, color is used for the observation of loOks. In the medical science of the Han Dynasty, those who observe the looks put more attention to the religion, politics and the environment and the looks are also related to the changes of the seasons of the earth. Especially, it represents the ranks and the authority in the politics. In the medical science, it＇s related to the chi-looks of physics. In the deep part of culture, it＇s like the poems and poetry songs. In Confucian analects and The Mencius both have the moral, ethics explanations, analogy and things no more than the association within ＂the sentiments and the rooks＂, ＂faces and the looks＂ and ＂Chi and the looks＂. Besides the inner sentiment to outer one, it also means the courtesy and behaviors. It＇s just like the Mencius said, the justice, humanity, ritual and wisdom are based on the heart and the looks It＇s more likely that ＂the colors of look＂ disciose more messages. Many scholars also used poetry, drawings, music to create the situation and express their emobons. Therefore, it has affluent expression in the psychology, the sensation and the implication of cultere.
