谚语是语言中的精品,各种辞格的运用是英汉谚语的重要特征。分析了修辞与翻译的关系,进而对英汉谚语所含辞格进行了分类,最后从修辞角度探讨了英汉谚语的翻译方法。

Proverbs are fine works in a language. The application of different figures of speech is an important characteristic of both English and Chinese proverbs. This paper briefly analyzes the relations between rhetoric and translation,classifies the figures of speech that are used in English and Chinese proverbs,and then discusses the methods of translating English and Chinese proverbs from the rhetorical perspective.
