Ltd under China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Huaneng Beijing Cogeneration Plant first adopted municipal sewage as feed water of circulating cooling system. The source of water is secondary sewage from Gaobeidian Sewage Treatment Plant. The main processes are as follows. After boosted by a sewage booster, the sewage flows into two accelerated clarifiers with mechanical stirrer; then lime milk and polymeric ferrous sulfate were fed in the first reaction chamber of each clarifier to proceed to mix, react and clarify. Clarified water, after fed with acid for pH adjustment, flows into a chlorine contactor for disinfection. The last main process is filtering. Finally, most of the treated water is delivered to circulating cooling water system with four 790-t/h feed water pumps, and the remained water is pumped out for washing coal handling system, plant watering, etc. with three 187-t/h service pumps.
