孙武与吴起是春秋战国时期军事史上的双子星座。《孙子兵法》与《吴子》是两部光耀千古的兵学宝典。二者对政治与军事的关系,治军理念以及战略战术原则的认识,有不少相同和近似之处。二者的区别在于,《孙子》更具理论色彩,展示了对战争规律的高度抽象和把握。《吴子》较之《孙子兵法》,尽管在战争规律的探索上没有明显突破,但在具体战术原则上,则有新的阐发。

Military Science of Sun Tzu and Wu Zi are two treasured books of military science with illustrious eternities. They have many the same or similar views on the relationship between politics and military affairs,ideas of directing troops as well as the understanding of strategically and tactical principles. The difference between them is Military Science of Sun Tzu contains more theories,which has shown highly abstractness and understanding of the law of war. Although Wu Zi, compared with Military Science of Sun Tzu, has no obvious breakthrough in the exploration of the law of war,but has made new exploration in the principles of concrete tactics.
