孔广森关于高次方程的应用

KONG GUANGSEN’S APPLICATION OF HIGHER DEGREE EQUATION

孔广森是孔子第七十代孙,清代中叶有名的经学家、音韵学家和数学家。他的《少广正负术内外篇》是关于高次方程的解法与应用的一部数学著作。本文主要探讨孔广森在高次方程应用方面所取得的成就。

Kong Guangsen, a descendant of Confucian of the 70th generation, was a noted scholar in the study of Confucian classics, a phonologist and a mathematician in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. His representative work on mathematics is Shao Guang Positive-and-Negative Method(i. e., the solution of higher degree equation with positive-and-negative coefficient).This paper only approaches his achievemnts in the application of higher degree equation.
