Fly out of the tight encirclement -Cummins and Shanxi Automobile will jointly produce large diesel engines

9月16日,康明斯与陕西汽车集团在西安正式签署了组建“西安康明斯发动机有飙公司”的合资合同。合资公司将生产康明斯ISM11立升全电控发动机,功率范围305-440马力,是包括重型卡车、长途豪华大巴和双层客车在内,全车总重26-44吨之间的重型车辆的理想动力。它的投产将填补中国缺乏高品质大吨位柴油发动机的空白,为中国重卡突出国际重卡的包围奠定基础。

On 16 September 2005, Cummins and Shanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Signed the joint venture agreement to set up Xi'an Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. The new joint venture will manufacture Cummins ISM electronic engines of 11 liters with output ranging from 305 hp to 440 hp. It is the ideal solution for vehicles with the gross weight of 26 to 44 tonnes, including heavy trucks, long distance luxury buses and double-decker buses. The new production will fill the blank of high-quality diesel engines for heavy models in China, which would also lay a good foundation for Chinese heavy trucks in its competition with the foreign brands.
