Breeding of new watermelon hybrid——Kaiza No. 11

开杂11号是开封市农林科学研究所选育的京欣1号型早熟西瓜新品种。该品种全生育期94d,果实发育期26-28d。单果重5-6kg,果实圆形,果皮绿色上覆墨绿锯齿条带,皮韧,耐裂果;瓤色鲜红,瓤质酥脆多汁,纤维少,口感好;中心可溶性固性物含量10.5%-11.0%。生长势旺,易坐果,耐病毒病,中抗枯萎病。适宜地膜覆盖和小拱棚、大棚栽培。

Kaiza No. 11 is a Jingxin No. 1 type watermelon with early maturity, vigorous griowth, high yield, tolerance to viral diseases and midum level resistance to Fusarium wilt. It has 94 days of whole growth period, 26-28 days of fruit maturity, 5- 6 kg of sigle fruit weight. The fruit was round shape,dark green stripe find,good hardness,tolerance to cracking,dark red flesh with few fibrious ,jiuced fine texture with 10.5% of central soluble solid contents. It is suitable for plastic mulched cultivation in open filed and plastic house.
