Ｍ．Ｍ．斯威婷博士是已故牛津大学地理系荣誉高级讲师，著名的喀斯特地貌学家。她曾五次来过贵州，对贵州喀斯特界的影响和她本人对中国喀斯特地貌的学术观点，在文章中加以总结。
Dr. Marjorie M. Sweeting, the deceased emeritus reader ingeography of the University of Oxford, was a great karst geomorpholoist in theworld. She had visited Guizhou for five times. The influences of her activities inGuizhou on the karst academic circle and on the formation of her academic thoughtin China karst are summarized in this paper.
