Reducing Ramp Accidents

近年来,停机坪安全问题日益受到人们重视。如果停机坪出现事故,尽管机场工作人员或旅客不一定受伤,但带来的后果却十分严重。例如,一架飞机与一辆运货车发生小的碰撞。飞机必须退出运行并接受检查;旅客、货场及邮件必须转装另一架班机;空勤人员的安排要改变,飞行计划被打乱;旅客感到很大不便;航空公司声誉遭到损失。国际航空运输协会因此已要求其成员报告它们的停机坪事故统计。

Safety has always concerned operators on the ramp . But the changing face of airline operations combined with the harsh realities of '90s style economic recession has heightened to the back seat when it should really be at the forefront of change. Airports , operators and airlines are beginning to realise that safe ramp operations save money and lives.
