The Arbois TGV station is located in a large population catchments area that includes Aix-en-Provence and its surrounding region, as well as the communes of Marignane, Vitrolles and Rognac which are ocated to the east of the Etang de Berre. It is positioned at the right angled intersection of the new TGV line and the road linking Aix en Provence to Marignane （RD 9）.As the road passes below the railway ne, it splits into two one-way lanes. Access ramps allow motorists to connect to a service ring road that runs around the TGV facilities.
