Pragmatic principles play a very important role in further understanding an article and improving students＇ reading ability. Therefore, it cannot be ignored in teaching reading comprehension. From the pragmatic perspective, the paper analyzes the application of the relevance theory and the violation of Grice＇s conversational principles in teaching reading comprehension on the basis of the author＇s experience in teaching College English.
