With the development of clothing industry and the establishment of clothing major in schools , clothing courses have already entered the classroom. However , there is a phenomenon that the course lacks scientific and normal model of teaching, and stresses theory but overlooks practicedue to the fact that the course is newly established. The article expounds the necessity of strengthening the practical link in the teaching course of clothing design from the aspects of the feature of the course, the market requirement and the need of the times.
