随着排球运动的不断发展,现代科学技术的进一步发达,科学训练已成为提高竞技水平、取得优异成绩的保证。而比赛统计的数据是科学训练最直接的信息,排球比赛数据的统计工作对于教练员、运动员、科研人员和决策者等都有着至关重要的作用。排球比赛统计工作在不同的方面存在着差异性。这些差异性主要表现在三个方面:统计方式的差异性、统计指标的差异性和统计结果处理方式的差异性。综合这三个方面可以将统计工作发展分为手工统计阶段和计算机统计阶段。

Along with the volleyball movement unceasing development, the modern science and technology is further developed, the science training has become the guarantee of raising athletics level and obtaining the excellent result. But the data of statistic is the most direct information for training. The volleyball competition data statistical work regarding the trainer, the athlete, the scientific researcher and the policy-maker and so on all have the very important function. The volleyball competition statistical work has the difference in the different aspect. These differences mainly display in three aspects：statistical way difference, statistical target difference and statistics result reduction way difference. Synthesizes these three aspects, the statistical work is divided into two stages： the manual statistical stage and the computer statistical stage.
