Overseas Trade of Coastal Cities and Towns in East Zhejiang During the Song Dynasty and Its Influence

宋代浙东沿海的明州、温州和台州等是重要的港口城市,海外贸易发达,与高丽、日本、东南亚及西亚国家均有频繁的贸易往来。海外贸易的兴盛,极大地促进了沿海市镇商品生产和贸易经济的发展,引发了社会经济结构的变化,从而对该地区市镇的社会生活产生不可忽视的影响。

During the Song Dynasty, Mingzhou, Wenzhou and Taizhou in East Zhejinag Province are important port cities whose overseas trade is well developed .They had frequent trade communication with Korean,Japan and the countries in Southeast and West Asia .The prosperity of the overseas trade greatly promoted the development of commodity production and trade economy in coastal cities and towns and caused the change of social economic structure,whieh made a great influence on the social life of these cities and towns.
